Cottonwood and Co is a boutique interior design and editorial photography studio based in Wānaka, New Zealand. Founded by Nicki Dobrzynski in 2011, the studio is known for creating spaces that feel unstuffy, inviting, and quietly timeless — rooted in traditional design and built to last.
After twelve years across residential construction, project management, and commercial interior design — followed by formal study at a private college in Sydney — Nicki stepped back from client work to raise her young family, turning her eye instead to interior and lifestyle photography for editorial magazines and brands. A move from the Southern Highlands of Australia to Wānaka brought a fresh chapter, and with it, the return of her interior design practice.
Drawing on years of hands-on experience (including her own renovations), Nicki has a deep love for traditional joinery, antiques, and beautiful textiles. She works closely with each client to understand their vision and budget, shaping interiors that sidestep passing trends in favour of sophistication, charm, and the kind of comfort you actually want to live in.
