Mum, wife, interior designer and photographer living in spectacular Wanaka, on New Zealand's South Island. In honour of St Patrick’s Day (which I actually missed 🥴), here’s our former green cottage kitchen and a little “after and before” to show you what we started with, and how it ended up. A simple L shaped design, hand painted inset cabinetry, a freestanding pantry cupboard on the adjacent wall, and a working little kitchen table at its heart 💚 Absolutely loved this cosy little European inspired country kitchen with all my heart. Lost my cooking mojo the last 2 months but slowly

Lost my cooking mojo the last 2 months but slowly getting it back. Starting with Beef Wellington. ✔️ Something I’ve wanted to cook for 10+ years but since it has a reputation for being tricky, I kept putting it off. Until tonight.
Definitely wasn’t perfect (pastry a little underdone) but just pleased I didn’t overlook the beef, and my word it was so tasty. I think the last time I had Beef Wellington was 15 years ago and I forgot how incredibly delicious it is.
I used #MaryBerry ‘s recipe found via @houseandgardenuk and suggest not skipping the mushroom gravy either as that is rather delicious all on its own. Have you had Beef Wellington or better yet, made it? Feel free to share any tips if you have! #beefwellington #inmykitchen

I’ve been working with a lovely new client the past few months, as we embark on a full scale decoration of their beautiful home here. Lots of wallpapers, textiles, lighting, furniture, antiques, furnishings, and interesting objects. Nice to be back after a “digital detox” all January 📱 Wonderful to be more present and not feel like I’m being sucked into a vortex of digital mindlessness (which is honestly how it can feel at times). Now the summer holidays are over and the kiddies are back at school, I’m back in my work cocoon… my little studio.
Excited to be back doing full time interior design & decoration and grateful for this little cabin I get to work in everyday, which i’m still tweaking (the armchair, for example, is about to get a little refresh with some beautiful new printed fabric).
Just outside the studio is our veggie & flower garden. Loads of capsicums, lettuce, courgettes, cucumbers, carrots, kale, lettuce, celery, tomatoes. My dahlia bulbs were slow to come up but now they’re thriving and I’m getting beautiful blooms everyday. So lovely to be surrounded by fresh flowers and foliage when I work 🌸🌿

It’s been such a cool start to our summer here in Otago, it’s feeling way more like a Scottish summer than a typical Kiwi one - so far.
